Kenegie Manor is situated on the fringes of Gulval which has a general store, post office, church and public house/restaurant. There are many picturesque walks to be found in the area which is within easy reach of the coast.

Gulval is approximately 1 mile from Penzance, a town which offers a delightful range of local shopping, There are main bus and train stations, the latter being on the main Penzance to Paddington line. The other neighbouring towns of St Ives, Helston, Hayle, Camborne and Redruth are easily accessible by car and there is a regular bus service through the village serving the majority of these towns as well as Truro. The cathedral city of Truro is about 30 miles away.

The town of Penzance provides a wide variety of recreational, entertainment and sporting activities - both to residents and to visitors. Whether day-time or night-time, gentle or strenuous, indoors or outdoors, participant or spectator, there is something for everyone.

Penzance offers a swimming complex, multi-screen cinema, night clubs and a range of restaurants, pubs and inns. There are also many fast food places serving a wide variety of food of various ethnic origins. To spend an evening at a Cornish Meadery or to eat a hot Cornish Pasty at lunchtime in the traditional manner (from end to end while held in the hands) or to be served a Cornish Cream Tea at a working farm are culinary experiences not to be missed.
